German-Polish-Ukrainian Society in Ukraine

Projects

"Our Kids" Centre

The main objectives and expectations of the Centre are to help children in need, children deprived of parental care and children who happen to be in difficult situations. Our main goal is to provide children facing vulnerabilities with highly effective services aimed at their socio-psychological rehabilitation, individual development and reintegration into society.

Inclusion

The sociocultural “Inclusion” Project is a unique creative initiative for social and psychological rehabilitation of children having experienced trauma. The Project was implemented in three cycles, each lasting nine months and ending with a special artistic performance. The result of the first cycle (2012-2013) was the Performance “Venice. City of Hope.” The second cycle ended with the performance “On the Other Side of the Sun” in 2015. All of the performances are based on the books and drawings of Czech author and illustrator of children’s books Štěpán Zavřel. The Performance based on “Nonno Tommaso” by Štěpán Zavřel (the third cycle) took place in March 2019 at “Lypky Theatre”. Performance Director was Iana Gudzenko. Children from “Our Kids” Centre were the main characters in the show.

Democracy Study Centre

The Democracy Study Centre (DSC) is a project founded in 2016 by the German-Polish-Ukrainian Society (GPUS) and implemented in cooperation with the European-Ukrainian Youth Policy Centre (EUYPC) with the generous support of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.

Green Concept

One of the directions of work in German-Polish-Ukrainian Society – to support the development of governmental society in Eastern Partnership countries. Our strife for innovation spreads not only on reforms in social fields, but on our concerns about the environment as well.

About Us

In order to protect the rights of children and young people, the German-Polish-Ukrainian Society in Ukraine (GPUSU) implements innovative public-private projects aimed at raising the standard of living in Ukraine towards the European one. Since its founding in 2005, GPUSU has become one of the first civil society representatives in the field of protection of the rights of children and young people in Ukraine. GPUSU supports Ukrainian society in adapting Ukrainian assistance to children and young people to European standards. Today, the organization implements 8 projects in Ukraine, the largest of which is the Our Children’s Center for Children’s Protection, which has been successfully operating since 2007 and is an exemplary pilot project for other non-governmental organizations, private-public partnerships and energy-efficient projects for all EaP countries.
